Our First Blog Post

Behind every successful woman, is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.

Hi All! Welcome to Bullets N Bows! Have any of you ever noticed how the outdoors can bring people together? Jamie and I grew up with very different backgrounds, but we connected over our passion for the wilderness and adventure.

So far our friendship has taken us on adventures all across North Dakota! We have been to multiple women’s banquets for conservation, 3-D archery tournaments, waterfowl hunting, fishing on Lake Sakakawea and hiking 26 miles of the Maah Daah Hey trail.

Jamie and I are both prepping for hunting season! (Is it September yet?!?!) I am currently preparing for an Arizona archery elk hunt, a Montana pronghorn hunt and a North Dakota swan hunt. Jamie may try her luck at her an archery mule deer hunt in North Dakota. We are both impatiently waiting to start waterfowl hunting.

Nature’s Paint Review

Nature’s Paint Camo Combo Pack

Hey All! Today we wanted to share our opinion on Nature’s Paint. Nature’s Paint is a brand of face paint that is made in the USA. It was founded by Nicole and Sereena who wanted a healthier alternative to the usual camo face paint.

Jamie and I tested it out briefly at home and lets just say we were both impressed! The camo combo pack comes with three colors, Buck Brown, Moss Green and Ash Black. The pack also comes with a handy mirror.

What we both liked about the packaging was that it came in convinent ‘chapstick-like’ tubes for a mess free application. There was no offensive smell to the product and it was applied easily and smoothly. Every color in the combo pack gave great coverage and easily blended.

The camo combo pack comes with a small lanyard, which is great to clip onto your pack or belt.

We had a ton of fun testing out this product and we are extrememly excited to take it into the field with us this hunting season! It is definately Bullets N’ Bows approved!!

Meet Sara & Jamie!

Sara and Jamie

Hello everyone! Welcome to our site- Bullets N’ Bows! We have decided to share our journey involving all things wild. We are going to blog our adventures hunting, fishing, shooting archery and firearms, and anything else that gets us outdoors. Our hope is that by sharing our experiences, we can connect and encourage others to do the same!

Hi All! My name is Sara and I am a city girl who fell in love with the country! I didn’t start hunting until my late twenties. My first hunt was an over the counter spring black bear hunt in Montana. After that hunt, I was hooked! That same year I successfully harvested a mule deer in Montana. Since then I have been lucky enough to harvest two elk with my bow. I enjoy fishing both open and hard water and caught a Northern Pike that made it into the Whopper Club in North Dakota. Living in North Dakota, I am able to enjoy waterfowl and pheasant hunting. I love to meet and connect with other people who share the same passions! I hope you enjoy following along on our adventures!

Hi everyone! My name is Jamie and I am a Washington gal who’s found her way to North Dakota, experiencing all that oil country has to offer! Being out here has afforded me the opportunity to broaden my experience in a ton of outdoor activities. I grew up hiking, camping, and fishing with family and friends, but was never much of a hunter until I moved to the Midwest. I’ve got one waterfowl season under my belt, and look forward to harvesting more ducks and geese this fall! I’m a total “gun gal” and do not discriminate on style, brand, caliber, etc; I will shoot them all! I’ve recently taken up archery, after owning my bow for a few years, so I look forward to taking it into the field soon! I genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, and can’t wait to meet fellow outdoorsmen and women who enjoy the wild as much as I do! Welcome to Bullets N’ Bows!
